🌀registration closed Summer Kickoff: The Magic of Indigo & Shibori
Registration is officially CLOSED for our first workshop!
There is something truly hypnotic about watching a piece of fabric go from neon green to a deep, midnight blue right before your eyes. It’s not just a craft; it’s a science experiment you can wear!
✨ What We’re Making
We will be using Shibori techniques—a Japanese manual resist-dyeing technique that involves folding, twisting, or bunching cloth and binding it to create incredible patterns.
The Wood Block Method: For crisp, geometric diamonds.
The Bound Method: For those classic, flowing circular "explosions" of blue.
The Pole Wrap: For beautiful "stormy" textures.
📍 Where to Find Us
We’ll be set up in our favorite grassy spot at Churchville Park in or near the Hickory Shelter. While we aren't dipping our toes in the creek this time, we’ll have the shade of the trees and plenty of space to spread out our dye vats and drying lines.
